Rotary Lift
We successfully defended Rotary Lift, a division of Dover Corporation. Rotary Lift manufactured an automatic hydraulic lift used at a Midas Muffler shop. The plaintiff was servicing the lift and opened a cap on the oil tank while the system was under pressure. Thrown 15 feet into the air, he suffered severe physical and psychological injuries. The jury found no defect in the product, even though the plaintiff used the same experts involved a previous, successful, case against the manufacturer.
